Welcome to Foundations in Case Investigation and Contact Tracing

Goals

• To provide state and territorial health agency staff with the knowledge and skills required to conduct public health case investigations and contact tracing regardless of disease threat.
• To raise awareness of the importance of public health case investigation and contact tracing as a component of outbreak response.

• There are no prerequisites for this course.

Instructional Methods

This course uses a combination of text, audio, and video to introduce important concepts. Information is reinforced through interactive knowledge checks, case-based scenarios, and downloadable job aids. Each lesson begins with an overview of the topics and objectives and concludes with a knowledge check. The course is available online and on-demand, allowing learners to move through course content at their own pace.
